【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesameansforestimatingtheresistanceofpolypropylene,inmoldedform,toacceleratedagingbyheatinthepresenceofairusingaforceddraftoven.Thestabilitydeterminedbythistestmethodisnotdirectlyrelatedtothesuitabilityofthematerialforusewhendifferentenvironmentalconditionsprevailandshallnotbeusedtopredictperformance.Note1Thespecifiedthermallevelsinthistestmethodareconsideredsufficientlyseveretocausefailureofcommercialgradesofheat-stablepolypropylenewithinareasonableperiodoftime.Ifdesired,lowertemperaturescanbeappliedtoestimatetheperformanceofpolypropylenewithlowerheatstabilities.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinbracketsareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note2ThistestmethodandISO4577-1983aretechnicallysimilarbutdifferentinpreparationoftestspecimens,thicknessoftestspecimen,measurementofthenumberofairflowchangesintheovens,andthenumberofairchangesperhourrequired.Thepurposeofthisappendixistoprovideasecondarymethodfordeterminingthenumberofairexchangesthatoccurwithintheforceddraftovenusedformeasurementofthermaloxidativestability.
